Exit The Sandman: Mariano Rivera Throws Last Pitch At Yankee Stadium

The greatest closer in baseball history climbed the bump for the last time at Yankee Stadium. Mariano Rivera made an emotional exit after retiring the 2 batters he faced. Andy Pettitte and Derek Jeter came out to the mound for the pitching change and  escorted a tearful Rivera off the field to a standing ovation. Manager Joe Girardi greeted Rivera at the dugout and shared a tearful embrace. The game will miss “Mo, a true gentleman and ambassador for the game.
