BY CLAYTON RICHER – FAN FUEL BLOGGER

While most 17-year-olds are searching for fake id on a Friday night or building up the courage to ask their secret crush to prom, imagine being drafted in the first round of the major league amateur baseball draft and then signing a $775,000 contract shortly thereafter to pitch for the Toronto Blue Jays. Sanchez was born in Barstow, California and attended Barstow High School honing his craft with the Aztecs. Sanchez is the third player drafted from the school.
