Fan Fuel: The Worst Moments Of Alex Rodriguez’s Career

In the wake of the newest Alex Rodriguez steroid scandal and whispers that the New York Yankees are trying to find a loophole to rid them of the financial burden attached to Rodriguez. Here is a list of not so proud Alex Rodriguez moments:
1. Rodriguez admits to using steroids while a member of the Texas Rangers from 2001 to 2003 after blatantly lying about his involvement and use of steroids. Rodriguez blames the enormous pressures he had bestowed upon himself as a trigger for the steroid use.
2. In 2007 while playing the Blue Jays, Rodriguez rounded third base and yelled at Howie Clark while he was camped underneath a fly ball. Clark proceeded to miss the fly ball assuming the yell was from a fellow team-mate calling him off the play. Rodriguez was criticised for his lack of sportsmanship. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons gave his take on the play “I haven’t been in the game that long,” said Gibbons, who was playing in the majors when Rodriguez was eight years old. “Maybe I’m naïve. But, to me, it’s bush league. One thing, to everybody in this business, you always look at the Yankees and they do things right. They play hard, class operation, that’s what the Yanks are known for. That’s not Yankee baseball.”
