The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants will renew their divisional rivalry on Wednesday with the game featuring a battle of the aces as Clayton Kershaw and Johnny Cueto face off opposite one another in the final game of their three-game set.

Starting Pitchers:

The Dodgers will look to Clayton Kershaw to continue his dominance as the left-hander boasts a 6-2 record with a 2.43 earned run average. In his last start, Kershaw limited the Colorado Rockies to 2 runs over 7 innings of work while fanning 4.

The Giants will run Johnny Cueto to the bump in an attempt to limit the Dodgers offense. Cueto has had a slow start to the 2017 campaign with a 4-2 record and an inflated 4.15 earned run average thus far. The Giants need Cueto to regain his old form and anchor their rotation in the absence of Madison Bumgarner.

Game Within The Game

The Giants have had the Dodgers number in their 6 previous match-ups this season losing 4 out of 6 games so far this season including a victory against Kershaw.

The Giants need to start closing the gap on the Dodgers and Rockies if they plan on being around for the postseason and another win versus the Dodgers ace would go a long way in building some momentum.

“After a slow season start, the Giants are showing signs of life. San Francisco won 3 out of four against Cincinnati and have a great chance to boost their confidence and improve their standing if they beat the L.A Dodgers. The Dodgers are betting favorites heading to Monday’s game, but I definitely like the Giants for this 3-game series” says David Strauss, line manager at MyBookie.ag online sportsbook.

Dodgers rookie Cody Bellinger will look to continue his hot streak as the youngster has been owning National League pitching since being promoted to the majors. Bellinger has connected for 7 round trippers in his first taste of the majors.
