The New York Yankees will wrap up their three-game set with the Boston Red Sox on Thursday as David Price makes his second start of the season opposite Yankees hurler Michael Pineda.

The Bronx Bombers narrowly hold onto the top spot in the AL East with the Red Sox are hot on their heels.

Starting Pitchers:

David Price made his first start of the season last time around as the hurler had been sidelined since spring training with an elbow injury allowed only one run over 7 innings of work versus the Orioles. Price will be an integral piece down the stretch for the Red Sox if they are going to be contenders.

The Yankees will counter with Michael Pineda who has been a nice surprise for the Yankees thus far. Pineda is 6-3 on the season with a respectable 3.76 earned run average in 11 starts this season.

Game Within The Game

The Yankees and Red Sox met in April and saw the first game of the series get washed away by rain as the Yankees reigned victorious in the final two games.

The Yankees will look to continue to ride the hot bat of slugger Aaron Judge who leads the majors with 18 round-trippers on the season.

“The Yankees and Red Sox already have already met this season, with New York taking those 2 games. And they won those as the visting team. Now they head to New York and they’re fighting for the top spot in AL East. The Yankees are favorites at our online sportsbook to win the series, but the Red Sox have been improving these past few days. It’s always fun to watch this great rivalry.” says line director at MyBookie.ag, David Strauss.

Players To Watch

Mitch Moreland, Jackie Bradley Jr, and Mookie Betts have all hit Pineda well on their careers. Both Moreland and Betts have 2 homers apiece off the Yankees big hurler.

Starlin Castro, Didi Gregorius and Austin Romine have all hit over .400 for their career versus Price.

Notable Injuries

Yankees: Greg Bird, Aroldis Chapman, and Jacoby Ellsbury

Red Sox: Brock Holt, Tyler Thornburg, Eduardo Rodriguez, Dustin Pedroia and Steven Wright
