The American League Championship Series was shored up in short order as both the Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians swept away their respective opponents in dominating fashion. The Jays kept their momentum going after a dramatic wild-card victory offering a knockout punch to Rougned Odor and the Texas Rangers. While the Cleveland contingent swept away David Ortiz and the Red Sox even after the Sox reeled off an 11-game winning streak in September to run-away with the AL East title.

The Blue Jays are 6-0 in October and some of the biggest sportsbooks online have anointed them the favorite for the upcoming series that kicks off on Friday in Cleveland. The Jays are currently locked in at 1.61 while the Indians would pay 2.25 on the dollar.

If you want to attempt your luck at betting on how the series will finish, the odds become a little more profitable.

Series Correct Score

  • Blue Jays win 4-0  10.00
  • Blue Jays win 4-1  5.40
  • Blue Jays win 4-2  4.35
  • Blue Jays win 4-3  5.40
  • Indians win 4-0  14.00
  • Indians win 4-1  8.15
  • Indians win 4-2  5.70
  • Indians win 4-3  5.45

Untimely injuries have crept into the picture for both teams and may have an affect on the complexion of the series. The Blue Jays are hopeful to have Devon Travis back from a knee injury and Francisco Liriano is eligible to be activated for the second game of the series if he meets the concussion protocol standards. Reliever Joaquin Benoit has been ruled out for the series as he is still recovering from a calf injury.

The Indians are without two of their best starting pitchers as Carlos Carrasco is done for the campaign with a broken hand and there is rumbling Danny Salazar could return from a flexor strain injury to work out of the bullpen for the series.

Regardless of the odds, the series should be closely contested one as the teams nearly split the season series with Cleveland winning 4 of their 7 contests. Safe money for me is still on the boys from north of the border. Blue Jays in 5.

I like the Jays chances our starters are rested our bats have heated up in previous games they have beaten Klubber like a dusty mat and he is their best starter.
Their middle reliever Miller is a lefty and we have hit him well in the past.

Cleveland has some power but they are get a guy on steal a base bunt him to third and get him in type of team.

Our defence has been superb so I say bring it on.
